Description
The Adventure of Link only had two available sword and shield pairings: the Hylian Sword and the Magic Sword. Link's original Magic Shield (which he acquired in the original LoZ) can be upgraded with the REFLECT spell. The upgraded Magic Shield can be seen in most of the artwork released for the game, and can be identified by its golden inlay.
