I seem to remember a manga about a town that was possessed and spirals overtook ever facet of normal life. People became trapped in waves of sound, a womans hair twirled to the point where it drained her life, women obsessed with their babies would drain others of their blood with a hand powered drill, people would transform into giant snails, and eventually the entire town turned into a giant spiral and every resident with their limbs twirled like so many spirals into themselves into their own twisted and strange hell .........
