Description

My own character model of Sloppy Smurf from The Smurfs, both in human and original forms.

For the human Sloppy, I gave him long and messy blond hair, covering his eyes just like the Smurf hat in his original form. I also translated the words in Japanese for artists who draw The Smurfs characters in Japan. For example, Sloppy is known as Surapi Sumāfu (スラピ スマーフ). The color key is done digitally in Photoshop, as opposed to doing it traditionally with colored pencils. I’ll make more of these in the near future if I can.

The smurfs undoubtably have some divine purpose in the original series, tho the females were added later.

Tho each has a role to play in said purpose, it's hard to guess what role Sloppy, Joky, etc., play.

My knowledge is minimal as the series, both printed and animated, didn't click with me.

I guess their use of the word "smurf" as a noun, an adjective, a verb, an adverb, etc., boggled me.
