Program(s) Used: OpenCanvas 4.06, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Corel Painter XTime Taken: around 40-45 hours
First I wanted to make an olympic theme for this day, however that couldn't came true because I was on a big art block. So I just finish whatever I did in progress before and submit it today.
This one again is my original character, Lenna. Well, the usual thing to do when you got loads of homework...
P.S.: I will update the notebook soon. I just wanted to submit on this day (08.08.08)

Grish, love the composition, so much more interesting my my static stuff, haha.
But i see it takes you a very long time to get to the completion stage. Almost double or triple the time it takes me. I think you should start doing speed paintings. It will force you to do as much as you can in ridiculously small amounts of time! It will train you to work faster and look for shortcuts that will be beneficial. And overall its a great work out for the mind. Also, try to work with some varied line weight. Like areas in shadow can be darker and thicker, or areas closer can be thicker. Its a subtle thing to do, but it really helps define thing and people WILL notice, even if they cant say what it is thats pulling them
