i am still playing, its FAAANTASTIC. nerdgasm, seriously. i love the original, but this is unbelievable. so much love. i am back when i am done with leon and claire.

I never played the original, so I'm even good with Resi5&6 (it even made me install 6 again. Still okay, but didn't aged well. I looked already curious back in the days, the figures are way to small for the environment...). So Resi2 reminds me a lot of the first "Dead Space". I did three playtroughs and can't wait for the DLC-stuff!

resi 2 the original one really influenced me back then.
its a bit like the alien movies. one and two are really different,
but beasts and genre-defnining pieces on their own.
my best friend back then and i played through the original countless times,
i still play it from time to time, last time i finished leon's a scenario 2 years
ago on pc and shortly after that i started claire's a on the ps2. still one of
my all time fave games.
and the modern win compatible jap version, patched for english text and sound
and the original playstation version).
i am curious what you'D say if you'd play the original now. ^^
i started my first playthrough with leon on hardcore, and damn, that first boss
is a unbeatable "kanonenfutter". -.-

First playthrough with Claire on normal, second one with Leon on easy. I mentioned, that I hate hard games. 
I played a lot of the later Resi-stuff! I like RESI4 and there's a version with Moire (Revelations?). I tried RESI0, wich is maybe most close to the old games, but this wasn't done for me anymore, it's more fan-service, I think. Too old-fashioned gameplay...

hardcore here is really hard. managed to make some progress
tonight, but still. phew.
i never really liked resi 4... the first 2-3 hours has been awesome,
but after that, i didn't really like it. i stopped playing in that castle
section where the presidents daughter always died "leon, help!"...
argh.
for me either. you should try the remake of resi 1. its amazing, tho.
no matter the oldschool gameplay.

The Resi4-Remaster was okay for me. The beginning is really the best part, but I'm easy to get there. Like I said- I had fun with 5&6!
