Narrator: While Thomas and Twilight were away in York, Percy and Pinkie Pie looked after Annie, Clarabel, and their coaches. taking the majority of Thomas' passenger services. Daisy ran the fast one, which connected with the Express at the Junction. This made her feel very important. Toby and Applejack were in charge of the goods work and he'd run the trains down to the Harbor. The two enjoyed that. The stone traffic was dealt with by Mavis and her diesel engine. One day, snow on the Mainland had delayed the train from London, so Gordon and Rainbow Dash ended up running late too. While Daisy was waiting for them at the junction, the blizzard spread across the island. Huge white flakes whirled all around and Spike, who again was assisting her was worried. Daisy, however, wasn't.
Daisy: "What fun, the others don't like snow, but I think its pretty. Plus, I've got these trusty rails to guide me, so it won't give my railcar here any trouble."
Spike: "That railcar hasn't got the weight that a steam locomotive has, so it can't push through heavy drifts. And, I remember Twilight telling me years ago how she and Thomas got stuck."
Cheese: "Yes, the two have told us enough, haven't they."
Narrator: At last, a familiar pacific arrived at the platform. Gordon got off to stretch his legs and then began to complain about how the drivers on the Other Railway were afraid of snow.
Daisy: "Why, it's no problem, a few flimsy flakes won't stop my rail car."
Gordon: "Quite right, my dear, well done but because of the weather, I'm running late and haven't got the time to chat and gossip."
Narrator: With that, Gordon drove importantly away. Soon, Daisy left, starting rather confidentially However, as they turned towards the valley, the sky was darkened, and it was completely blotted out by flurries.
Daisy *groans*: "Ugh!"
*she tries to wipe them away with her windshield wipers*
Daisy: "I don't like this."
Spike: "Neither do I, we can't see where we are going, we might end up crashing into something, or another engine."
Narrator: Daisy stopped her railcar at the next signalbox and Spike went to talk to the signalman. He had brought his parka with him. He came back looking rather glum.
Spike: "Attention all passengers, I'm afraid that there are deep drifts up ahead and that we can't continue our journey. The signalman has also told me to tell you that we must take you back to the last station, then we'll try and find a way to get you all home somehow."
Passenger 1: 'If we're lucky that is."
*several murmur in agreement*
Narrator: They weren't. Before they had begun to go far, Daisy began to feel ill. She coughed, hiccupped, and her rail car stopped.
Daisy *cough*: "Help, I can't breathe properly!"
Spike: "Give her some air, please! Plus, I think the snow's blocked the air intake."
Narrator: Spike quickly cleared it but it soon got clogged again. Daisy's rail car could go no further. Even though she could now breathe, she felt like bursting into tears. Spike got down again and trudged back to the signalbox to call for help. Daisy felt more miserable every minute. Even when Spike returned, he couldn't cheer her up.
Spike: "They've promised to rescue us, but goodness knows how long that'll take and how they're going to do it."
Narrator: They waited and waited but no help came. The snow drifted higher and was soon piled all around the rail car. Suddenly, she, Spike, and the passengers heard a whirring noise.
Daisy: "Oh NO!, not another blizzard."
Spike: "It's Harold and his helicopter!"
Harold *over the loudspeaker*: "Cheer up old chaps! I've got hot refreshments for everyone!"
Narrator: Harold lowered hot drinks for the passengers, and when they were feeling better, Harold air-lifted them one by one into his copter in what Daisy could only describe as a sort of chair thing. The passengers, along with Daisy and Spike went to the airfield, where they were all looked after until they could reach home. Harold however, couldn't help dig out Daisy's rail car, It was a cold miserable week before Toby and Percy's engines and some workmen could dig out and rescue the rail car. She doesn't think snow is so pretty now.
Daisy: "It might look nice, but it's bothersome."
