One of the remaining descendants of the Dragon Clan, he struggles to come to terms with his unwanted identity - which he keeps hidden.
Ryu lives as a nomad, traveling from place to place and doing odd jobs in exchange for coin.
He doesn't mind getting his hands a bit dirtier than most would prefer to. His wage is a good one.
He only complains when it'll persuade the clients to tip him generously.

He is a competent spearman who mastered his weapon within a few years of study. Any staff, stick, or pike becomes a critical threat in his hands.
He has seen enough battlegrounds to be comfortable in any brawl. He is confident in his abilities, but picky about what he fights for/defends.
Unlikely to engage in senseless violence, unless paid very well to do so.

Whatever money isn't spent on new equipment and inventory for the next big adventure goes straight into his belly.
50% dragon, 100% of the appetite. (No known disliked foods, has been bribed with a warm meal before.)
Earned his reputation for being an opinionated, stubborn, and resistant solider; but he makes for a creative, tenacious, and determined mercenary.
Does not work well with others. Prefers solitude over pleasant company. Kind of aloof until he gets to know you; very guarded.
Doesn't socialize much outside of hunting down work, stopping at taverns, or visiting markets.. Hardly even visits the infirmary, but his first aid skills have drastically improved with the repeated use.
Serious and distant upon first introduction, but he has a warm and generous personality hidden within him.
He is honor-bound, despite his best attempts to live the outlaw life, and has let several bounties go because he didn't agree with the execution -
he decided long ago: if he has to be the executioner,'s axe he may as well be the judge's gavel too.

He dabbles in pyrotechnics. Um.. If you see him running, you should try to keep up.
His hobbies are: combat practice. making campfires/camping, weapon maintenance, traveling, explosions.

Orphaned at a young age due to wartime casualty, he joined military ranks as soon as he could. There were guaranteed meals there.

Slowly, he mastered sojutsu between the bouts of militant suffering. It was his only sense of purpose.
He was apathetic to the political tug-of-war, indifferent to their version of 'rewards'. His superiors found his lack of morale "problematic."
This incurred extra punishments.
It wasn't but a handful of years before he reached adulthood and found his escape from trench digging.

Ryu quickly picked up the nomadic, sell-sword lifestyle he now carries.
Despite currently living a rather simple life, it's only the beginning of his journey.

Tonight he camps beneath the stars.. hungry and alone, but truly free.
Unaware of what events tomorrow has already promised him...
