Yaro loves children, and they tend to like him (what's not to love about a giant you can climb and get rides from?)

Despite being full grown Alexei still lives with his father, partly because they're all the other really has (this is due to both the war in their homeland and the fact they moved and traveled constantly before coming to Trivtown, Alexei's got friends all over the world but doesn't have many close friends).
