Description A custom I finished today. Remember how I mentioned in the "Drifting Saber RE V2.0" picture that I had to redo the car after it fell off the shelf? Well this is what happened to it after.

This by far is the closest I've ever gotten to making a Hot Wheels car look like a car I conceptualized on paper. Down to the details from the mismatched wheels, the exhaust on the back, the front hood wing, a roll cage interior. It's just soooo right and I'm happy how this came out.

Things I did to this car is I stripped the entire crapped matte black paint job this car had and left it in it's "bare metal" state with (first time using it too) a clear lacquer coat on it to keep it shiny. There is a reason for that and it will be explained in the car's bio. The engine was also colored in with sharpies and blasted with clear coat to keep the colors in. The rear wheel on this is way bigger than the original wheel that this car came with, so I had to sand down the rear wheel arches and rear bumper to make the wheels fit and give it a more sportier "racecar" look to it. I had to file down the front bumper out to the point of where that "bump" is on the hood and file it down even further to make it look like wing fixed on the hood of the car. Since the original window was fucked up when I did the V2.0 RE (due to stupidly not taping up the windows perfectly and the spray paint got all over it and its' back side), I replaced it with some newer windows which fit the new color scheme idea I had for this car.

Other info about it is that this right here is the final version of the Drifting Saber RE driven and owned by Sev as of now. Due to the new modifications,it has it has now been renamed as the "Banshee" due to the engine it has now, it even sports a color scheme opposite of that on the usual Drifting Saber too. I'll give a much more detailed description of this car on its' updated car drawing .

Gosh I'm just happy. This car (at least the body) was a Hot Wheels car I had since I was 6 and ever since then, it always had been my favorite car, even though it suffered a lot of abuse through playing with it. It's just sooo good seeing an old friend alive and well.

PS. The blue car you see there in the background is one of my newer Hot Wheels custom projects. I still have yet to plan out what paint job I want to do along with the added custom stuff.
