"In the shadowy torch lit room stands an ornate oak table, on the table in a shallow terrarium sits a warty, bulbous frog. The frog itself stares blankly back at you, occasionally blinking lazily or licking its gummy lips. In its slimy hand it holds a large white feather, the tip of the long pearlescent calamus is sharpened to a point and stained with dark ink.
Before the creature lies a large tome of obvious antiquity, open approximately half way through. Written in the book in an elegant, measured text are names. Beside which are scrawled various professions, followed by a series of numbers divided into columns. Each column is headed by 3 capitalised letters. "Who stands before Anura Amphibia; The Knower?" Asks The Headmaster, glaring at the frog.
The frog blinks languidly back, silent. The quill however glows faintly with an eldritch light, and moves slowly toward the page. It would almost appear that the instrument is pulling the podgy, clammy hand which holds it loosely, showing no sign of resistance or intention.
Your name appears trailing the sharp tip of the quill as it scratches its path across the yellowed page. The word "Bard" follows shortly after, the ink glowing faintly purple until it settles into black.
The Headmaster raises an eyebrow and turns to you. "Congratulations" she says curtly, before marching straight backed from the room. "
