Sadly no, they are not. This is a facility called Wolf Park. They host photography seminars where participants can go in with the pack to photograph. This is my 4th time to go, but it had been many years since I had been. My first photo seminar since I had gone digital. And, as you can see, it was a VERY lovely day for me!

It is a WONDERFUL place!!! And yes, the wolves are amazing and wonderful to be with. To be right there with dominance fighting, etc. is a blast!!! Plus, then, they can be so loving with you! This shot was in the afternoon, after we'd been with them for a while, and they had "gotten to know us". So they were now comfortable with our presence. But yes, they are VERY big boys! And I love 'em all!!!

I think you can see how I feel about this moment. I wanted to share that feeling with everyone so all will know what wonderful creatures they are! Ah, thank you so much for visiting! Isn't he beautiful??? He is approximately 200 lbs, would be my guess. They are definitely not small by any means. Especially when they jump up on you!!! I'm only 5 ft. tall and of course, I was one of the first persons they jumped up on! "Oh, look! Snack!" LOL! No, we were instructed thoroughly about proper behavior and how to interact with them in the proper manner so that they would not view us in an aggressive light. Plus we were watched carefully by staff. I was quite safe and I felt quite safe. In fact, I was in heaven!!! Can't you tell? So sorry, you didn't want a complete lecture.... I just get carried away with my love of the them and my joy of the day!!! Thank you for loving the pic!

The place I was at is called Wolf Park. Here is the link. [link] It's a wonderful, privately funded facility dedicated to preserving the wolf. There are other beautiful creatures there also. Yes, all of the pack were about this size. I was in with 5 males; the female was penned away as she doesn't "play well with others". There was lots of dominance fighting going on; more so in the morning than the afternoon as the frisky boys seemed to settle down some in the p.m. But still there is a "pecking" order to be maintained, you know! In fact, as I was seated as you see in the pic, in later pics not posted there was some growling that I could hear but I couldn't see exactly what was going on until the pictures were developed. Seems there was some "dominance" issue being "discussed" right around me as I was seated there! But I was hearing the discussion!!!! LOL!!!!

Very, very cool! My big problem is I have an extremely tiny wrist, so unless something is specially made for me they wouldn't fit!

He does it expecially for you.
I gave him the dates and he made the bracelets, so they fit just fine.
They were a bit tight, but now they are perfect.
I told him the kind of weed and if I wanted dark or white fur.
And I choose the gems. He can tell you very much about the meaning of gems if you want to know.
He also gave me the names of the wolves he took the fur from, so I could find pictures of them in his gallery. If you want to see:

Thank you so very much! It is a he and he is indeed a big guy. A friend of mine, who I sent the pic to through email, said the exact same thing. I am seated on the ground and I am a small person, being only about 5 ft tall. However, the overall size of the wolves is still quite large in general. Much larger than most people realize. And he is quite beautiful!!!!

Lucky! I've always wanted to be up close to a wolf, there my favorite animal along with tigers, black leopards, snakes and etc.
I wish I could see a wolf in person someday.
