|edit| wow, a daily deviation, i couldn't believe it when i first saw it *__* thank you to everyone who left lovely comments or +fav'd it~ btw, 'ebi' = 'shrip' in japanese~
this was originally just a bit of a doodle that got out of hand, but after the wonderful response i received from everyone i decided to fix up her wrist, make her hand a bit smaller, and use the image as the cover of my exhibition calendar.

hahah for some reason this totally grosses me out. XD also cuz like... knowing that the shrimp is COOKED... and like cut in half and squashed backwards on that rice........ i mean its just like i imagine my legs turning into backwards cooked split in half shrimp tail and oh man!!! XD ha ha shit!!!

I like the shading on it. And the light reflections are very nice.
Though the hand to her mouth looks a little off... Something about the curve going up from the wrist. Maybe a little too much curve to it?

aaaah lucky! i have never actually eaten ebi sushi. i've had ebi... but not on rice. come to think of it, i haven't had ebi with little girl bodies attached to them. i feel like maybe i am missing out on something.

whahaha i've eaten it yes but it had not a body, just the tail with seaweed and orange eggs?! fish eggs orsomething...it was delectable yum yum yummyyyyyyyy also had some fried ebi and fishballs, tamaki? whaha i dunno the name of those delicious thingies but i almost ate my fingers aswell damn

Wow, I really like the idea behind the concept here. I love sushi, but because the gesture of the girl was that she seemed defenseless and scared, it made start to think about people that are Vegetarians or Vegan because they won't anything that had an (expressive) face; it does make some sense to me and I do feel guilty sometimes. (thanks for bringing that feeling back, by the way) I do just really like meat and fish, though.

hehehehe, it's odd you should say that, as i'd never even considered the vegetarian angle at the start! originally i was thinking of those sushi combos, and being able to pick and chose... then tying that into a theme i'm doing on Women in Japan... the idea of picking out different kinds of women like you can sushi... then my mind kind of just went blank and i doodled some sushi-girl-eye-candy
