An unused concept sketch I did for the upcoming series "All Hail Megatron": a modern days cassette recorder Soundwave!(because microcassettes and recorders still exist).
Well, at least it's good as fanart

awesome! but i have my doubts about the transformacion process, the waist and upper legs would have to be thinner and smaller to fit in the body and lower legs
plus the lower legs would end up being too thin (half of each arm).. but ok, this is not for a toy, only a comic

Well, maybe Sony can get on Bey's back - it would neat to see a reporter stick a Sony Pressman M-200 (the recorder) into some political's face, just to have it transform into Soundwave.

If only Soundwave can be true to his G1 roots in the sequel...
unfortunately Bay doesn't believe that transforming alien living robots from outer space, capable of interplanetary travel with science far more superior than ours are capable of mass shifting/ shrinking.
Anyway, this is one kickarse design!

Incapable of mass shifting? What about Frenzy, who turns from a little stereo into a man-sized bot? Or Frenzy's basketball-sized head, which turned into a tiny cellphone? I think Bay was being a bit hypocritical. Hell, I'm being hypocritical - I said I wouldn't watch it, but I did, and liked it enough to buy the DVD!

Oh yes, why not a microcassette recorder? And it makes me real happy to see that you've maintained his G1 look and feel, while updating his alt-mode. It's not exactly the same, which i think is pretty cool. Designs can't stay static, after all.
