Hey there,
you requested critique regarding this work so I shall give you a few points.
Overall, I like the color palatte, some of the saturation levels could be tweaked but all and all its pretty solid. the rendering on the hair is pretty well done on the top, the highlights are great, it could do with some stronger cast shadows in the area's of the hair next to and under the face. dont forget about adding shadows, it makes all the differance. especially around the face, it would create a much more dramatic look to the face.
the rendering all over the piece looks a bit inconsistant, there is a bit of brush work and a bit of cut and grad which can work together but it needs a bit more work here. the boots in particular look very messy where as the hair looks very neet with the grads, obviously light will effect the two differantly but there still needs to be a uniformed feel between the highlights.
the Strong underlighting feels very unconvincing as there isnt really any indication of the lighting in the background. a gradiant of the highlight color on the rock background fading up would help to make this a bit more convincing.
thats all I can think of atm. it should be enough for you to be getting on with. keep practacing and looking around at the way light plays off of objects and people around you.
