Previously I drew my characters in the style of animator Don Bluth. Lately I've gotten hooked on reading the comic strip Pogo by Walt Kelly, and I decided to give Kelly's style a try! Some characters were easy to figure out and reference, like looking up raccoon and rabbit characters Kelly drew for Rockie and Starbuck. Other characters, I had to take my best guess. I've only found one instance Kelly ever drew a guinea pig, twitter.com/GuineaPigDan/statu… and I doubt he ever drew thylacines, platypuses, or red pandas. Part 2 will be uploaded next!
