A redesign of one of the mermaids I drew for Mermay.

Blue is a very big and very old blue whale who lives deep in the ocean only surfacing to breathe and greet any boats lucky enough to find themselves in her waters. She tends to follow these boats and guide them through what can often be a dangerous voyage. This has led to many legends about her, claiming her to be a sea goddess.
