Description
This is my complete map of Silent Hill, Encompassing almost all areas visited in the games.I started working on this more than 3 years ago, working off the higher res images from SH2, and just recently regained interest and set out to finish it. I tried to stay as faithful to the original work created by Team Silent as much as possible, but had to improvise in certain areas.
The largest discrepancy you will notice is that Riverside Dr. now replaces Bachman Rd. as i have always felt it didn't make much sense for it to be on both the left and right side of a river in 2 different maps, whether Team Silent made a mistake or not we will probably never know.
I noticed Thorcx made a creative solution to that dilemma and i applaud him for it, I guess it's up to the fans to decide which one they believe to be correct.
Bachman road still leads to Lake Side as implied in the game, so in the end everything works out.
As far as I'm aware this is the largest and most detailed map of Silent Hill on the web or anywhere, so enjoy and if you find any inconsistencies, missing/unmarked buildings, pet peeves etc or just have suggestions feel free to comment or email me and I will update the map as needed.
Update: Changed the fonts in the northern half to match the originals, fixed a few things and added the compass to help disoriented travelers.

If you didn't notice, this is for TEAM SILENT games only, because Homecoming breaks cannon, by messing up locations among other things.

I've just played Silent Hill 2 and I remember most of the map. The bit above the Northern lakeside hotel is new to me though. Was that part in one of the other games?

This is absolutely wonderful and a really great resource for anyone wanting to role-play in the setting of Silent Hill, or write fan-fiction or just wanting to see the relative distance between parts of town. You're right--this is the best map I've seen anywhere as well, including the in-game maps, and believe me, I've looked!

Hi I didn't play 1st part and stupid 5th part but 2-3 parts take south and several north areas. Does 1st SH takes North part?

I love this... so very much. I've always liked the look of Silent Hill 2's map, it seemed to match the calm and dreary look of the town.
Well... calm when you're not busy smashing monster's faces in with a plank of wood.

I also made a map, and it turned similar to Thorcx idea. I figured that rivers bend, but so do roads. I know a road that makes a few 90 degree turns. So that is also an idea.

I have to say, this is an awesome job. I only have one qualm. The ingame map from the first game has Bachman road coming down to meet Sanford Drive where you connected Riverside Drive. Given the layout of the terrain, I can see why you did that because it would make sense. I'm just being a stickler for stuff I guess.

Ummm I hope your okay with this because I took your map and edit and added the the area in SH:Homecoming where Sagan Street goes up with the docks and Darengto Cemetery and prison. Amazingly, it fits pretty well in this map also I included were the roads would be blocked off. Is that okay?

no wish house/water tower? am i mistaken or were they supposed to be somewhere in the wooded areas? i thought you could see the lake from the path in the game, but i may just be on crack and imaging things.

Well I am currently writing the script to a Silent Hill comic which I hope to get published and I am trying to be as correct as possible. At the moment, one of the main character's is about to sacrifice himself, but first he has to give his friends directions to Wish House, since all of the clues they've been given seem to point to there. While your map and others have been halping me out so far, I couldn't help but notice that Wish House is not on this map. Do you have an idea of where it is? The games never made it very clear either.
I'll probably have to do a bit of a rewrite anyway, now that I see that Alchamillia Hospital is on the other side of the bridge from Midwich elementary school.

In order to make this map correct you will need to replace some of the old central silent hill with the new one. I AM NOT INSULTING THIS MAp. It is just a recommendation.

Although I admit, I like Thorcx's map for the fact that he solved the Bachman Road dilemma, I must say that I like yours for the fact that it looks more official. (Or rather, it looks more like the maps from Silent Hill 2 and 3.) Anyways, great job on making a whole map of Silent Hill.
