had a go at making vines in photoshop.....
got there in the end. planning to make more, i love vines.
Unzip to Photoshop > Presets > Brushes
And then load from the brushes palette
Check my gallery for lots more goodies for photoshop.

Hello! Very nice brushes. I am making a comic book that may or may not be able to be sold and I was wondering if it was okay if I used some of these for patterns on character's clothing. I've been looking all around and I really like these ones the best so far. You said they were not to be redistributed for direct profit, but I am not selling the brushes directly. Is that okay?
