I've been playing Ib lately, and I love the storyline. Specialy Mary's, she may be the "evil selfish puppet", but think about it. Being stuck in a strange world for so long all alone.
And the only possible way to get out is to switch places with someone from outside, knowing she has to kill that person. It must be hard for her to go through all that.
But we all know the biggest shock she probably got is when she realized that she isn't human, a sham, "one of them", a puppet.
