Description Name: Lutecia Iestinus

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Race: Merfolk (Shark)

Height: 5'.11"

Bio: Ever since she was little Lutecia desired to help others. So much so that for her joining the priesthood to learn the benevolent art of healing was a no brainer. However while there she quickly found herself to be quite adept at the ways of magic, both for healing and other applications. Though she detested fighting she trained in combat arts, and even briefly studied swordsmanship, but swore to use her power in the service of easing pain, not causing it. After a few years of serving as a healer in the Merfolk's archipelago, the wonderous realm of Martois, calls for more healers came from the great human realm of the Midland Empire, on account of an army of outlaws ravaging the countryside, and Lutecia answered. But not a week had passed since her arrival, where she was aiding a makeshift hospital, when a detachment of mercenaries of the outlaw army descended upon them. Focused on her patients, Lutecia was utterly unprepared. Separated from her staff, they made her their prisoner, and slew all others that they found.

Bound up and helpless, Lutecia could only squirm, and let out muffled grunt through the unforgiving gag wrapped over her mouth, terrified of whatever fate awaited her at these brutes' hands as they transported her in a covered wagon. But then, their convoy stopped, shouts rang out, the ringing of steel. Rescue! Before long someone entered the wagon, an elf man identifying himself as a member of the Knights Arisen, who cut her bonds. She retrieved her staff and shortsword and stepped outside to find the battle still joined. Without missing a beat, she summoned her magic energy, to heal and empower her rescuers. As soon as her former kidnappers saw she was free they turned and ran. The knights introduced her to their leader, Sir Gwynned Argyle. Owing a great debt of gratitude she all but demanded to join his party, offering her services as a healer and spellcaster to his most worthy cause.

Kind, dedicated, and gracious, Lutecia follows the tenants of a priestess to a fault, using her power first and foremost for the sake of helping others, only using violence as a last resort, but she is far from defenceless. So long as she has her staff in hand she can unleash blasts of energy powerful enough to crush bone to powder, and erect barriers strong enough to stop a charging warhorse dead in it's tracks. And yet she exercises great restraint in using her magic in such a way, lest she become used to the bloodshed. Never the less, she fights to protect her new friends, and those who cannot fight for themselves.
