Se ve muy bien el coloreado así dividido por celdas, que pese a ser cell shading, está muy detallado y no luce simplista. ¡Muy bueno!

me agrada dibujar a toon link ya que su estilo de arte y coloreado son simples, pero como dices, siempre termino por agregarle mas capas de sombras y luces

De hecho es buena idea con el cell shading, hacer este tipo de coloreado y sombreado con muchas capas. Por lo general no me gusta pintar con esta técnica, pero de esta manera me gustaría intentarlo.
