People say I’m beautiful, some say I’m stunningthey love my hair, they love
the eyes I’m born with,
blue of everything I’ve felt,
through hurt and joy
theyre blue from all the emotion mixed together
blue from the genes I
inherited from those above me
got my curls out of luck
they protect my gentle imagination
we’ve worked hard to embrace each other as soul and curls
we may not love each other at times
sometimes I feel unloved,
I don’t feel beautiful
will I ever be loved?
I wish
I could relfect
the way people see me
so I can be happy with who I am.
Just a mirror of feelings
i wish
i could see the way others see me.
