Wikings horned helmets were mostly Wagner's imagination. There is no evidence that horned helmets were ever worn in battle at any point during the Viking Age. So please, don't take the first part of this comic serious (don't dare you take anything from this comic serious!). Wagner was from Saxony, but... 1870, Walküre, Munich xD So I decided to show Scandinavia (it was Scandinavia vs Rome).

Wagner's fortunes took a dramatic upturn in 1864, when King Ludwig II succeeded to the throne of Bavaria at the age of 18. The young king, an ardent admirer of Wagner's operas since childhood, had the composer brought to Munich. He settled Wagner's considerable debts, and proposed to stage Tristan, Die Meistersinger, the Ring, and the other operas Wagner planned.

The flower of Ludwig's bed is the Cornflower → one of the national flowers of Germany.

Prussia is wearing a Pickelhaube, designed in 1842 by King Frederick William IV of Prussia. It's typically associated with the Prussian army.
