Description
It was a dark and stormy night. As I look out my window and watch the rain fall under the street lights I see something move quickly. What was it? What could it be? I had to find out. Only if it weren't raining I would go out and solve this mystery. My mom would kill me if I went out in this weather and this hour. Its almost dinner, I should probably go down stairs and eat.As I walked down the stairs my mum called my for dinner, and I said "I'M right hear mummy."
"Oh, I'm sorry honey. Tonight is roasted chicken, your favorite." She said
"Oh! Yummy!! Thanks mummy!" I said with joy and I hugged her. I loved my dinner. It was so delicious! I went back upstairs after I finished and looked out my window again, and there was someone staring right at me. I screamed; and so did the object.
"Who are you? And what do you want from me?" I asked
"--------" said the object; only I couldn't understand it because my window was closed. I opened my window slightly just enough so rain wouldn't get in my room.
"I'm sorry, what was that? I couldn't hear you." I said in a soft voice.
"I'm terrible sorry I frightened you. I'm a ghost, I'm not supposed to be here. I'm trying to find my way home." Said the object; or ghost.
"Where do you live? I can ask my mum to drive you there." I suggested. "My name is Lacey by the way. What's yours?"
"Charlie. I'm Charlie the ghost." He said softly.
"Well, its nice to meet you Charlie. Now where do you live?" I asked.
"I live…in the underworld. I'm trying to find there portal back to my home." Charlie said. The underworld…? Does that mean…what?
"Umm.. I don't think my mum can drive you-maybe I can help you find it?" I asked.
"That would be nice. Thank you so much – you said your name was lacey, right?" said Charlie.
"Yes. Hold on. I have to sneak out because my parents wouldn't let me go out in this weather." I said quietly.
"Alright.." Charlie said sadly. I grabbed my coat and climbed out the window being extra quiet so my parents wouldn't notice I left.
We walked everywhere where Charlie remembered where he last saw the portal.
"I just cant remember where I last saw it." Whined Charlie. "Ill never be able to find it."
"Yes you will. Now, where do you think you remember you saw it?" I asked.
"It was in a big, wide opened area. And it had a tree ,and I saw like this thing shooting out water." He said. I knew exactly where he was describing. The park on the other side of town!!
"I know where that is!! Come on!!" I said and tried to pull him; only I went thought him. "What..?"
"Remember? I'm a ghost; You cant touch me, I'm actually not here,." He said. Okay. Creepy much? But, I don't care.
"Oh. My bad. Common!!" I said and stared running with him following me. We ran about 2 miles to get to this park. We went there, and there was this big, black, deep hole in the center of the park.
"There it is! That's the portal!" he said with joy.
"Awesome. Well, I better get home before my parents start wondering." I said.
"How about I take you there? It's a far walk. Hop in!" he said as he jumped in the portal and held on to the sides.
"um..okay?" I said confused. I climbed into the portal and in less that a second I was back out my house.
'Oh my gosh! That was fast!!" I said surprisingly.
"I know, that's what's great about the portal," Charlie said joyfully.
I got out of the portal and climbed back up to my window.
"Thanks so much Charlie!" I yelled.
"Your very welcome! Ill come back and visit you sometimes" Charlie yelled back.
"That would be awesome! Ill see you soon!" I said.
Then, Charlie went deeper into the portal and soon the portal just vanished. Even thought this was a fun experience, it was kind of freaky. How come when we passes everyone, they didn't notice the ghost or the portal? That was odd. Anyways, it doesn't bother me. Now, I can just go home lie in my bed and relax…
Until I saw something green coming from inside my closet.
