Part1 over hizz-hurr....Okay, I couldn't resist adding to the last one. Fighting on the open sea is an altogether ridiculous concept, especially when the combatants are rocks.
I'm...I'm not a very good Pokemon Trainer.
Next week will not be a Pokemon comic, I promise.

And this, children, is why you don't find rock or ground type Pokemon in the water.
This is also why trainers who swim around in the ocean don't usually carry rock or ground type Pokemon.

I never did like battles on the water, mostly because my Pokemon are mostly Fire type.

I once used a pikachu in one of these sea battles. I truly have no idea how it didn't electrocute itself... or me... or the other trainer.
AND ANOTHER THING--How come the people who aren't swimmers (like junior trainers and stuff) are wearing their usual clothes? Shouldn't they be wearing swimming suits or something? It can't be easy to swim in those clothes.
AND ANOTHER 'NOTHER THING--How are these people just swimming in the ocean for seemingly-endless periods of time? They must get tired eventually. Unless the 'ocean' is secretly only as deep as the children's swimming pool... yeah, that must be it.

never use a rock type pokemon vs a water type one

The theory I've had about every rock type in pokemon is that they're all Pumice. It's the only rock that can float, I believe.
