He turned to his right, the woman who brought him to the court room standing just behind him with eyes piercing like the fire before him yet voice like velvet.
"You know you don't have to be here, Madam."
"You're right." She replies, "Alas, I need to be."
Never in his life has Joshua felt like a sheep surrounded by a pride of lions. Still, he keeps himself ready for the verdict. Wether it be death or an eon of labour to pay his debit, he's willing to take it. The second the gavel hits calling for everyone's attention for the session to commence, he braces heart and soul for the verdict.

Alright, I'll be nice and share what I have been working on. Basically a revamped version of THIS and this scene takes place between the prologue and the first chapter. So confirmed spin-off? Yes!
Changes:
I decided to give Joshua a new outfit, Selma's hair is a little down, I gave her an actual Arabian sabre, and the lighting... Oh, L-RD the lighting is so much better!
