POKÉDEX ENTRIES
This Pokémon blends into clouds to hide from predators. It also uses them to sculpt cloud shapes to impress potential mates. Humans often in the past have used these shapes to predict the future.
As it drifts through the sky, it’s constantly collecting water vapor. It’s cloud-like collar is softer than cotton.
The more water it absorbs, the denser it becomes. It’s base weight is lighter than a feather.
This Pokémon absorbs water vapor and condenses it into a thick coat to protect itself from severe climates. The cloud collar around its neck gets bigger as it absorbs more water.

Ta-da~! All done! Once again, here’s all the nitty gritty details about the Pokémon I designed. Sort of a pair up with my ghost type (in terms of evolution method). And again, just assume that this Eevee evolution can learn all the same standard Eeveelution moves even though they’re not listed on here. Because that takes too long to type up.
And speaking of, filling in moves for Nepheon here was a lot harder than I initially thought. Flying types don’t have a whole lot of moves, including the damaging ones. I was really surprised at how little there was. Which made me realize the REAL reason while literally ALL the flying type Pokémon are part normal types and how there’s not a SINGLE PURE flying type. It’s because there’s so little to contribute to the flying type side, they have to add another type (more often than not normal type) to at least compensate for STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus). I have solved one of Pokémon’s greatest mysteries! Where’s my Nobel Prize?
But back to the main topic. The second hardest thing here was, again stats. I had to really brainstorm on what exactly I wanted this Pokémon to do in combat. How it would move, attack, defend. Would it be fast; slow? Offensive; defensive? In the end I just cross referenced what flying types were typically used for in competitive and looking at the other Eeveelution stats.
Based on my own experiences, I decided to go for the Rain Dance-Hurricane combo. I’m a big fan of using Weather and Terrain teams and I think having a water type with Surf next to a Nepheon with Water Compaction and Hurricane would be a really cool set. The ability makes up for low defense (especially if you’re gonna be there a while setting up with buffs or debuffs). And the Rain Dance not only powers up Surf but makes sure a heavy hitter like Hurricane hits every single time. Not a bad strategy.
The other half of that was me taking a look at the other Eeveelution stats and I noticed Jolteon was not only high speed, but second high special attack. Ummm... what? I mean, I remember the fact that he was a sweeper, but special attack? I could’ve SWORN that Jolteon was a physical sweeper, not a special like Espeon. If that was indeed the case then not only were Espeon and Jolteon practically the same (minus the types and you flip their top two stats), but also there wasn’t a single physical sweeper with high speed. So given the fact that Nepheon looked the part, I decided to remedy that.
Okay, WOW. I went SUPER full on nerd there. I’ve only just got into competitive play in the last two years and have only just begun tackling the Battle Tree (with a full team of ice types who are TOTALLY killing it, thank you). So that was just a huge geek out. Better stop rambling before I accidentally write a thesis.
So... what do you guys think. Love to hear your thoughts. I got a lot of my ideas for it’s Pokédex entries and behavior from what we as humans do with clouds and how we see them. How we try to imagine what different shapes they are and how some people in the past have used them to tell fortunes such as if they’ll have a good harvest or to predict natural disasters.
Pokémon belongs to Satoshi Tajiri. I only own my fake Pokémon here.
