Description
Since I'm rubbish at writing fanfiction, you're getting a comic instead. (nothing new there lol)Coloured with Alcohol Markers.
Finally got my new grey markers, so I'm putting them to good use here.

Well, I'm rubbish at drawing comics, so we're even there.
I seem to remember working in an art supply store yonks ago, and they had markers like the ones you use. Trying to figure out, you see, if yours have a pointed tip, or chisel shaped. Isn't it difficult to lay down large, even colour areas without streaking? Great work, in any case. Your characterizations and gestures are spot on !

I have many different brand of art markers (from somewhat expensive to cheap knock offs) but one thing they all have in common is that they are all bullet nib and chisel nib. (i'm finally gonna get a set of brush nib markers for Christmas) I find myself using the chisel nib the most, for the small and large areas. My work does streak but I'm glad it's not to obvious? hahaha

Sorry for being nosy- just that I appreciate the difficulty of using what is essentially a transparent medium - I've always said that giving someone a watercolour set for Xmas is the surest way to discourage them from ever trying to do art.

No need to be sorry at all me dear. I'm very fond of transparent mediums cos i like to thinly layer on the colour. I worked with watercolours for years so that might have something to do with it. I favour markers cos i don't have to wait for certain parts to dry before applying the next colour, and so on.
(i must be odd cos i would be delighted to receive a watercolour set for xmas)

You are unique and not odd ( a subtle distinction) - the thing about watercolour is the way that the white paper remains a part of the picture, rather than simply being covered over as with opaque media. Most people find this difficult, as we are raised to think in terms of painting being like painting on a wall, so that the whole concept of modifying a pure light to create a picture with transparent washes of colour is hard to grasp. Like stained glass, in a way.
I know how you feel- my first watercolour set was a xmas present from my late sister.
