Personality: Dane is the first pure European Kelpie to be caught from the wild by Halo. He's feisty, energetic and full of determined spirit. Halo caught him from the wild territory around Haru's Evergreen Hills stables during the Spring Hunt season. Dane's capture was not easy and, including the time in which Eliza distracted the stallion, it took just over an hour and a half. When Dane first arrives at SSC stables, he's full of disdain and disinterest and in particular, he harbors a dislike of Eliza for aiding in his capture. The only thing that interests him is the two Kelpies (one half Kelpie, one full kelpie) already at SSC, Ambie and Alexandri. Dane is understanding of Ambie, as she is half Kelpie and born into captivity and therefore doesn't know of the wild, but he can't understand Alexandri's behavior of jumping over the paddock fences and yet choosing to return to captivity. Halo hopes that once Dane settles into his new life, he will mellow out and start to enjoy it. Dane, however, has other ideas.
