Description
This is my Rift contest entry,I've done several sketches of different colossus but finished only one of them - the fire one , maybe later I'll finish some of the others

How does the colossus can hover?
is he using the same kind of "magic" that allows superheroes to fly at will?
or des he float because of all the hot steam inside of this body?
P.S: I fell sorry for the guy trying to fight him with a mere sword and a shield

Very nice design on this guy! I also really like the foggy atmosphere in this image; gives the pic a unique flavor. I think you perhaps could have cropped the image a little closer for a more dramatic composition, though this being more of a design image I understand that's not quite the point.

Looks like a Zerg über boss battle! Like the Zerg captured a fire colossus and transformed it, integrated it into the hive. Its a flying fortress of fiery doom!

The general look of the thing resembles slightly that of the Hierarchy habitat walker from Universe At War (game).
