"I'm not thinking about this fight will be my last fight, I'm not thinking about any other outcome other than a win," Taylor said. "I feel very fresh and good in the gym, I feel I've got plenty of fights left in me."
For Taylor, a win will make her a two-weight undisputed champion in what would be another historic moment in an already storied career, but Cameron has one key motivation which will make the difference come the final bell and that is the prospect of finally fighting in her hometown of Northampton.
"The motivation for me in this rematch with Katie Taylor is that I’m a step closer to my own homecoming," Cameron told DAZN.
Cameron, 32, from Northampton who trains in Manchester, outpunched Taylor in Taylor's first professional performance on home soil in Ireland. Taylor, from Bray in Ireland but who trains and lives in Connecticut.
Is still the undisputed world lightweight champion as Cameron's junior welterweight belts were on the line when they met. Taylor will once again challenge the Englishwoman for her four belts, back at the indoor at the 3Arena in Dublin.
"I think failure causes you to analyze things a little bit more and that's been the case for this fight," Taylor said. "I think that's where all the growth happens, when you suffer a loss you are forced to look at every single factor and I feel a better boxer than before now.
In that time, she has claimed the undisputed championship, becoming the first British female to do so and attaining that status by beating American Jessica McCaskill and pound-for-pound number one Taylor, who she got the better of first time around in Dublin.
The Northampton fighter says she will set a "hot pace" against Irish superstar Taylor and anticipates a better performance from the undisputed lightweight champion.
"The preparation has been a lot different," Taylor said via The Irish Mirror. "I feel a lot better going into this fight. I feel in top form right now. I don't want to really expand on it, I just didn't feel myself going into the last fight. It was just a flat performance. I was good enough to step into the ring on the night, I just fell that bit short. Mentally and physically, I feel a lot better for this one, that's obviously a big deal.”
"The preparation is better [for the rematch] and I feel a lot better going into this fight, I feel in top form and I am looking forward to showing my best on the actual night. I think everyone could see that I definitely wasn't at my best in the last fight, so I'm looking forward to getting things right for the next one....
Cameron has held super lightweight gold since 2020 and also owns a win over former undisputed welterweight champ Jessica McCaskill. She now looks to expand on her legacy with another win over fan-favorite Taylor.
Retired world champion Andy Lee said a win for Taylor would rank as "one of the greatest turnarounds in boxing history", should it happen. But even Lee, a proud Irishman, is backing Cameron.
Cameron has been given all the trappings of a champion this week, unlike six months ago when she played second fiddle to Taylor. At the open workouts on Wednesday, she was last to appear and stayed behind to sign gloves and T-shirts for fans.
