An unexpected encounter

Kanade recognized Izumi and glomped her in her joy of seeing someone familiar in such a place. Izumi is really confused and impressed that it's Kanade, an old friend of her from highschool who she lost contact (due to studies, job and other problems), and wonders why she is in such a place.
Meanwhile, the belselian team hits Kanade with the Marauder's railgun cannon and sends Izumi's friend flying against a complex of buildings.
What will Izumi do?
Follow the orders of her superior and protect her job?
Or she will aid her old friend?
