Description

Fringers are predatory fish that spend most of their time lurking in the mud at the bottom of whatever lake or pond they live in. Eat other fish and small lizards/amphibians if any get close enough. They're ambush hunters, lying in wait to snap up food in their external, finger-like mandibles. It's best to keep paws away, as their fins can cut if they start lashing around. Most are about hatchling size, but can grow to be quite large if their environment allows it. Dark brown with rosette-like markings to blend in with the water's bottom
