You give your surroundings a good once-over. You recognize some white hyacinth and some little fire pinks smattered across the ground, but you don’t think people are supposed to eat those. Maybe… You’re going to operate under an “edible” rule for your mission until proven otherwise, lest you go crazy with the back-and-forth. Or at least… supposed to be edible. Oh no, but that’s subjective… Er– back to the specific task at hand.

There are some other plants with fruiting bodies - berries and mushrooms - but you just don’t know what they are! You should probably choose safety and not pick those until you know for sure what’s what.
