Crystals that can vary in color, but are commonly some shade of purple. Powder kegs grow about the same speed as plants and seem to like cropping up around tall trees in wetter areas. Most stop growing after reaching a foot to a foot and a half in height. Their tops are flat, so there's no need to worry about pricking paw pads. The interior of the kegs are hollow, but will start to fill up with a glittery pink powder that has the consistency of flour after nearing full height. This is the edible bit and tastes like s'mores and mashed potatoes. Although powder kegs are a relatively soft material, you'll still probably need something to chip in there. They can easily be cut along a face on the crystal, dislodging a large chunk all the way to the base. About a week after being broken, the keg will start to "heal", reforming faces to cover up the opening. Although they grow through all seasons, sources of extra water such as flooding, rain, and snow seem to make them extra happy, allowing them to grow abnormally high or in abundance
