Unfortunately I did this drawing a little bigger than usual and I couldn’t get it all scanned so the sides of the drawing are gone. I was working on expression of the eyes; I try to draw every night right before I go to bed just to keep up my skills this one was about expression how emotion can be shown through the eyes. The Cat and mouse title is about Dastan always being called a street rat, and when he was little I imagine a little mouse. Garsiv is the cat in the dark ready to pounce.Related content

I like Dastan face and eyes,,, you can still scan it all by scanning it in 2 parts and then join them in photoshop I did that once with a huge poster

Thanks... kind of like a where's waldo but prince of persia style. grin. it drives me crazy that the sides
are not seen, garsiv's nose is to close to the edge for me in the scanned drawing.

You did it again!
The mouse was so well hidden, I didn't see it until my second time looking over it. (I'm getting better and seeing your hidden pieces, yes! haha)
So much symbolism again, I really do love seeing the details in your piece.
The rat is in Dastan, sort of reinforcing that you can take the boy off of the street but you can't truly take the street out of the boy. And the rat looks docile, almost frightened.
That really makes a good contrast to Garsiv's sort of pensive cat stance. (I like that he's not really looking at Dastan. It shows how natural Dastan's anxiety is toward him- just like any rat to such a large cat.
