Description She is as old as time itself, created by God to bring warmth across the universe. A force to be reckoned with she is powerful and fierce. She travels instantaneously across the galaxy bring about the day to any surface she crosses. Her name is Sol, and she is the sun.

Her eyes grow sad seeing hatred grow ever stronger on earth. “Why can humans never be content, must they take then take some more until there is nothing left to give?” Sol cried to herself frustrated as she watched the earth, “there was a time my fire brought warmth, security, and light. Now I sit here to watch the humans destroy themselves day after day. Why must my light shine down on something so horrid!” Sol dropped to her knees, she crouched over violently crying into her hands. Her soul cried out as she wailed like a ghost who wandered the night.

God walked over to her, he felt all the pain and suffering inside her. He knelt down to her level and wrapped his arms around her. “My child,” God said, “it is true that hatred consumes  the earth. The devil whispers into the ears of every person. To lie, cheat, and steal are only small examples of the hatred he shows. The devil rules over the earth he wants people to hate one another and to create differences which destroy their lives. But is you look closely you will see my children, like you, who follow me. They spread the love of God to each and every corner of the earth. And it is with your help that they are able to do so. My child you bring warmth, light, and love to the people of earth.”

Sol paused, her breathing became steady and she slowly began to rise up. Her arms clasped around God, with tears still flowing in her eyes. “Sol, I love you so much. Now rise, come, I will help you.” Sol took Gods hand, she rose to her feet. Gripping tightly to Gods hand she took a deep breath. “My brothers and sisters need me to shine my light upon them, that they may follow you and study their word. I will love them just as you do father.”

And so began a new day…
