To continue with the Zira theme I started, here is Zira meeting a strange rogue, who you might think looks very familiar, and it's for a reason.

Here's what I wrote on instagram where I originally posted this:

Sadeeki is a rogue lion who Zira meets at the border of the Pridelands very shortly after Simba's return to the throne. Zira can't help but notice his striking resemblance to Scar, so she reluctantly lets him introduce himself to her. Surprisingly, this handsome stranger shows genuine interest in her in a way no other male ever has - not that there were any in the Pridelands besides Scar during his reign, he didn't allow friendly rogue males to hang around like Mufasa used to in order to ensure genetic diversity in the pride. Sadeeki quickly becomes Zira's only friend and pillar of support, trying to help her adjust to the absence of Scar and the presence of a new (in her mind not rightful) king.

He falls in love with her hard and fast, but Zira is all too preoccupied with her grief and bitterness that she can't bring herself to even think about love for anyone other than Scar. She strings him along though, since she doesn't have any better company, and his resemblance to Scar occasionally makes her able to vaguely imagine that it's actually him.

One day Sadeeki mentions that he's always dreamed of being a father some day, and that sparks a brilliant, dark idea in Zira's head. The idea makes her so giddy that she actually does start to fall in love with Sadeeki a little bit, but not him as a person, as a useful tool to help her get revenge.

The two get officially together and have a son, Nuka. He was born a little underdeveloped, and as he grows remaining smaller than average, Zira quickly realizes she won't be able to fulfill her plans using him - she'll need a stronger son she can train to assassinate Simba and take the throne as Scar's heir. Not much convincing is needed for Sadeeki to agree to have more, and Zira later gives birth to a healthy litter of two, you guessed it, Vitani and Kovu.
