Gosh, feels like it was just yesterday when i discovered the show and saw the first season, after having seen (and having been annoyed) by the usual giant roar of fandom spread on the internet... but then i started smirking at the first episode, laughing at the second, and convincing myself at the third that this show was something else xD And in fact. In all these years only very few, like 2-3 episodes left me with a vague -meh!-, and only a really few things disappointed me slightly, but till now it stood miraculously solid and fun, and unpredictable. In fact, one can disagree with us, or plainly dislike Adventure Time, but nobody can honestly deny it's been the turning point, the most important and impactful series in the last decade. Without it, many of its same generation cartoons (and even more the following generation ones) would be very different, or wouldn't exist. No good show influenced everything that followed like this, not even really great shows like Korra, to say another i liked a lot, cause this has so many more elements of difference and uniqueness. Disliking is fair, denying its centrality in the animation scene is just being biased, forgive me but it's true xD it's like, in the field of anime, for Evangelion (strange comparison apparently eh? XD)... one can hate it, love it, but if you say "it had no impact" you are just lying. period. I'll really miss the show and the characters xD i don't say more, but at the same degree of Wander over Yonder and Gravity Falls ones, with the difference that like the Simpsons, AT felt like "that show you can count on staying even when everybody leaves" 
Only one thing worries me: i never wanted adamantine coherence from AT, storywise, even if it built up a weirdly working world... but... aren't the episode left till the finale's specials a bit few to solve at least the bigger knots of the story? and another thing, i really cant imagine how AT could end, being so open story-wise xD usually in the 90s series like these proceeded in blocks, every season having a finale that could easily be used as series finale... but on AT it would be really a let down...
