Un tempo, vedevo gli angeli volare alti nel cielo, luminosi come le stelle, capricciosi come le fiamme delle candele, imprevedibili come il fuoco di un incendio indomato.

Liberi. Ora vedo solo buio, e i loro contorni si fanno scuri e sfocati, figli dell’ombra e dell’oscurità.

Angeli caduti.

Long ago, I used to see angels fly high in the sky, bright as stars, capricious as the flickering light of candles, impredictable as the flames of an unconquered fire.

Free. Now all I see is darkness, and their shapes are becoming blurred and obscured, sons of shadow and gloom.

Fallen angels.
