Artemis attempts to lean against him, but is rebuffed as he pulls his knees up between them. She flops, instead, across his legs, and mewls childishly.
[tbh I'm not totally convinced children mewl, but that's what felt right to describe it.]

Moloch, Caleb, Artemis.
Artemis comes back to her childhood home periodically, and not usually in a good state or well-received by anyone but her father, Moloch, and even he is somewhat begrudging of having to treat his adult daughter much like a child. Caleb will have none of it, though.

Illustration of a little vignette I'm writing? Yeah, this takes place after Caleb pulls Artemis into the tub, because she would not get in (but made everyone else). The tub is not there Because, Look At These Assholes. (I'm adding it later, the placeholder tub was rlly bad).

(I wish there was a People>Fantasy or Fantasy>People category. You know, for the folks like me who draw elves and demons eating breakfast cereals.)
