I love the "Pearl belongs to Steven Universe" not because it is there to avoid any confusion/risk drawing Pearl, but because when we found out that Rose is actually Pink Diamond, that would mean that Pearl is actually Pink's Pearl which now means that Steven technically owns Pearl, now.
