In this alternate history, Micheal Collins didn't try to fight the ambush and just said to his driver "Faster!" and he is still alive.He made a deal with the his old friends (enemies, anti-treaty forces) and the Civil War ended in September 1922. He supported the IRA of the Northern Ireland and the British had to accept a real territorial transfer treaty in 1924. Collins' government took a part of the Northern Ireland in 1925. Because of that, Catholic people were forced to exile (purification) and the Irish made the same thing.
When Michael Collins understood the reality that he could not persuade Protestant population to join Ireland, he stopped the operations of the IRA in 1930 (Because of the Great Depression, Collins couldn't find money for the IRA.).
But, his state still claimed the North for de jure.
