     Deirdre's rather busy. Damaris is having her fun, though.
     I can see Dre kneeling on Kurushimi's roof. Her elbows are on her bent knees and she's balancing on the balls of her feet. She's smiling a little.
     But then again, Damaris's heartbeat is loud and clear. I see her walking past Kurushimi's house, looking in the front window briefly, her green eyes glittering.
     She knows better than to go in.

     Dre is talking to Damaris.
     "She's under my watch for now," she says carefully. Damaris treads lightly on Dre's territory.
     "That is obvious. Look at you. Your wings are getting wet. Come down from there."
     "I won't, Demon," Dre responds.
     Damaris crosses her arms and shakes her head. "Then you risk falling."
     "Just as well. You'd catch me, for without me, you are nothing."

     The Demon is defeated, for this rainy night.

     "Very well, Angel. I'll leave you be."
