a delicate queen of the darker nights
shimmering gently in a blue-walled room

I'd die for that promise, spoken out loud
instead, it stays hid in her glimmering shroud
so proud

so, here we are in a black-walled room
amongst smoke and pillows from midnight to noon
and I cannot sleep, for you keep on shining
and I cannot know for what I am pining

though a sin to compare to a creature so frail
I outrank you on the morality scale
your smile, so pale

yet here we remain in a rose-walled room

betwixt the legs of a creature of light
