"James The Red Engine, compared to last year, has been having a great year so far. With less than no Sudrian Karma, getting good washdowns, pulling the express more from time to time. Life has been great for the red engine and it would get better than that.
The red engine visited Ulfstead Castle near the end of April, a day or two after King Ulf, Adonis (Ulf's royal butler) and Charles (Ulf's royal advisor) arrived in preperation of the new branch line. There he saw the three acting their parts of king, butler and advisor very well - quite well in fact - and James was interested in interacting with them more. After making some acquaintances with them, the trio and James continued to speak for a good while, finding common interests and getting along together. James and Ulf are both vain so their personalities matched great. The royal orange engine mentioned to the red engine about their activities they do. One of them being Live Action Role Play. While they do it during work, it's only with one another and when it's important. But during the weekends when the majority of the visitors comes to the castle? It is all in with their royalness.
James, having been getting into LARPing eariler in the year, expressed his intrigue and ask to the king if he could involve his 'Rail Rocket' persona. A superhero red engine with spider-like senses, a red cape and can fly (or speed down the line) at supersonic speed. King Ulf loves it a lot! It feels modern, like a modern knight, and it would bring interest to the young kids that's more into superheroes. He offers James if he wants to be part of his group whenever he's available or during the evening weekends as his royal protector of The Kingdom of Ulfstead! James couldn't be more happy with that offer.
So Rail Rocket is The Kingdom of Ulfstead's royal protector for the castle. Helping and saving those that are in need, making sure everyone is alright and stopping any villians and invaders that gets in the kingdom's way. Preperations for opening day for Rail Rocket's arrival are underway with the Sodor Comics United planning with a new comic series for him. I told you James' life would get better than that, though poor Brian seems to feel jealous and annoyed by this."

Another sprite scene that takes place in the Railverse (Rail Tales) universe. I will admit, I'm more interested in working on this rather than my own Thomas universe since I have nothing for that.
This comes from an idea I had in my head that I sent through to Champ, the other day, about James as Rail Rocket being the castle’s protector. Since Ulf and James are both vain, I felt like they would get along well. Champ love this idea so we decided to canon this for his universe. Probably be one of those things where it happens off-screen though. You know how creators of shows have these facts that aren't really mentioned in the actual show? It's like that.
Also Brian the Monarch is in the background here. This takes place during his compensation stay since he did reach Ulfstead Castle after 4 months of building the extension.
