Fiction. Chicago, June 1980. Upon hearing her new next-door neighbor, an African American boy, say that there are no Blacks in the field of martial arts where they are grossly misrepresented, Pam, a young African American woman and a teacher, invites him and his parents over to her apartment for a lost American history lesson (about the "Forgotten Fury"). And moreover, to meet Ms. Hurd, her "sensei" (teacher), at her dojo the next morning. The family gladly accepts.The following morning, the boy and his parents visit Pam's dojo to watch the Saturday morning kid's class in action. Much to their amazement, the "sensei" in question is a beautiful young Black woman...and their next-door neighbor!
