Music.
One of the oldest forms of art,
been around just as long as we have.
But it has evolved as time as moved on.
It originated from the heavens,
and came down to earth.
Secular and non-secular,
The 2 genres that are known,
after that is all the other categories made.
Rap, R&B, Country, Indie.
And the list goes on,
as if it's never ending.
But every Genre has an Idol,
pretty much the God of blah blah.
Micheal Jackson is the king of Pop.
Tupac and Biggie Ruled old school rap.
Now it's Drake and Nikki.
Beoynce is apparently the Goddess of hip-hop.
And then we got Beethoven being the symphony mastermind he was.
But tell me, what makes good music?
Is it the strumming of a guitar?
Maybe the melody of a lullaby?
Possibly the beat of the tune?
The lyrics that are sung?
A catchy yet great chorus?
The music video to the idea?
The hype people give it?
How about becoming one of the Top#10 hits?
Could be the thousands of fans heading to the concert.
Or the award the Musical mastermind receives?
All of these reasons could be,
It's much more than a catchy jingle,
or the skillful play of instrument,
and look beyond the lyrics with meaning.
When I look for a song it's my main goal,
to find a track that speaks to my soul.Realmind
