I believe in God myself, but I'm not insulted at all by this stamp. Because really, who knows? None of us will actually know until we die. You can believe in God or not believe in God, but you won't actually know what happens until it actually happens. That's why there are so many religions. People don't know what happens, so they try to explain it.
By the way, I don't mean to offend anybody here. I'm just stating what my beliefs are.

i don't really understand why this is getting so much crap. i mean, yeh sure, i'm a christian, but i'm not gonna get all tore up about an opinion. we all have opinions, we all believe in something one way or another. there's also ALOT of things that bug me about christianity (i guess any religion, really). like the fact that there's these power hungry dickheads that take a religious text, take bits & pieces of it, stick it in a blender, & start spewing fire & brimstone. saying crap like "oh, god wouldn't want you to do this or that" bugs the hell out of me the most because i feel like saying "you don't know that for sure".
that's pretty much the reason why i rarely go to church anymore. grant it, there's some pretty relaxed ones that don't speak about doomsday all the time, but when you constantly hear "be careful what kind of music you listen to. god might not want you listening to that stuff", or something as ridiculous as "smoking & drinking is bad. god doesn't want you to do that", it runs me up the wall. someone may have diff tastes in music than you. sure, in the long run drinking can damage the organs & fuck up your perception & reflexes tremendously if you get in the car & smoking can damage the organs, but thats pretty much it (sorry for the major sidetrack, but felt like that needed to be said)

I'm glad you understand so much of the bullshit that plagues pretty much every religion. Religion is a tool used to manipulate people. It always has been and it always will be. The problem with Christianity is, although it is sometimes twisted and contorted, it is already extremely corrupt and morally depraved. The "Book of God", the bible, very literally states that homosexuals should be killed. "If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)
Another example, "If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT). All the bible does is advocate death and killing. I don't understand how people can even suggest they get their moral beliefs from this book, which is the "word of God". There are many more examples if you want them by the way. I find the bible to be one of the most grotesque and morally corrupt pieces of literature to ever be created by mankind. It is simply a product of the darker times it was made in, and I don't get how people can still believe in it. Then again, I doubt 95% of Christians in this country (America) have ever even picked up a bible, which their whole faith is based off of. It truly is sad.
