So, I'm not allowed to post anything past 0330 anymore. My post, I guess this morning, talked about detail work, yet didn't show much of it off. Well, I'm kinda fixing that and putting something else in as well. So, this one is going to be a cluster.

On top of the detail stuff I did yesterday, It was time to rebuild the heavy turrets I did for the OG Avenger. They weren't bad, but after a while started to look silly. They were loosely based on a turret model I saw on DeviantArt. I say loosely because I couldn't replicate it 100% if I wanted to at the time. It's still iffy right now. Anyway. I decided to go back to the past, basing my new turret off of historical designs with a bit of "futuristic" flair. This one is somewhat based off of the 16" gun turrets mounted on later-designed US battleships. SoDak, North Carolina, Iowa.

Then, I rebuilt the guns to fall more in line with the designs I've used in other Alliance big guns. The detail on the guns and turret is fairly sparse at the moment. I want to go back and make them pretty, but right now I needed something to just put on the mode to see where things fit. They're not going to be much more detailed as that I'd like to keep my polys from going too damn crazy. Though I might do an HD version for any possible close-up shots. That's me thinking way too far ahead at the expense of right now. I do that a lot.
